A Handfasting is usually held outside in a place of nature or a sacred site. You can hold your ceremony anywhere as long as permission has been sought where appropriate. The ceremony itself can take many forms and should reflect your own values and beliefs whether or not it follows a traditional pagan ritual. It may often involve the symbolic tying of hands, lighting of candles and calling on the elemental forces: Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Spirit, to witness your joining.

Your ceremony will be unique and should be true to you. You can choose or write your own vows and dedications.
We can also help you word your invitations so that your guests feel prepared and know what to expect. This will allow them to relax and participate in your day, particularly if they are used to a more conventional celebration. We will create a ceremonial space and take on the organisation of the ceremony. You can choose how involved you and your guests want to be.

Weddings, Committment Ceremonies and Handfastings can be arranged for same sex and heterosexual* couples.

(*English law however, means that any alternative wedding ceremony will require a registrar if you wish to make it legal. This can be arranged before, during or afterwards if required. Although there are proposals to change the law, it will be some years before these restrictions are lifted.)
